Our Sustainability approach is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and all initiatives are based on the three pillars – People, Planet, and Performance. All business decisions we take at AVT McCormick have a meaningful purpose and invests in bringing out a positive change in the lives of farmers, local communities, other partners, and end-customers.

CREATING BETTER SHARED FUTURE
To work with people in the communities and leave a long-lasting positive impact, we have partnered with NGOs to assess the needs of the communities. We come up with interventions that cater to the existing shortcomings and propose solutions that will create significant social value in the long run. From renovating child daycare centres to installing reverse osmosis water plants, we have identified ways to make a difference in the lives of the people living in these communities.
RAINFOREST ALLIANCE
At AVT McCormick we are taking steps towards getting our farming certified by the Rainforest Alliance. The objective is to expand the acreage under the same, consistently in the coming years. At present we have engaged 2600 acres of farms under our Rainforest Alliance Certification.
Our Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Turmeric, Ginger, Celery projects are on their way to being 100% Rainforest Alliance certified as we expand our footprint in sustainable spices, one step at a time.
GOING ORGANIC
We believe that organic farming is key to sustainable agriculture. We assist farmers in embracing organic farming through adequate training. We have also provided safe and sustainable water for drinking and farming in the project area, by installing RO plants and implementing Watershed Development project.
LASTING RELATIONSHIP FOR BETTER LIVING STANDARDS
Through our consistent procurement practices and efforts to aid the farmers to achieve better price realisation, we have established a strong and longstanding relationship with communities. This association has helped the farming community achieve better living standards and afford better education, healthcare, housing facilities and other tangible assets for their families.
